SMS PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy notice provides more specific information on how Branca USA Inc’s SMS/text messaging service (“Service”), collects and processes your personal information.
HOW AND WHAT WE COLLECT
Through the use of the text messaging service, Branca USA will receive the following information from our third-party service provider via direct and automated collection:
Examples of Direct Collection
- Opt-out preferences
- Content of your text message responses to us
Examples of Automated Collection
- Device status indicating whether a device is available for messaging
- Carrier (e.g. Verizon, AT&T, etc.)
- Country associated with the phone (we are not sending international text messages)
- Delivery status
- Error codes indicating why a message was not delivered (e.g. number associated with a landline, unreachable device, etc.)
HOW THIS INFORMATION IS USED
We use Personal Information to:
- Provide you with the Service
- Process and respond to inquiries
- Improve the Service
- If necessary, contact you with important announcements or messages
- Conduct research, and
- Provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients and partners
Each message that you send through the Service is stored on our servers. We retain these messages on our servers. We utilize servers and services owned by third parties.
OPTING IN AND OPTING OUT
A mobile user might opt-in by:
- Entering a phone number online,
- Sending a Mobile Originating (MO) message containing an advertising keyword,
- Filling out a paper form that includes their phone number, or
- Signing up at a point-of-sale location
Branca USA’s third-party service provider gives you the ability to opt out of the Service for any reason. If you wish to unsubscribe from text messages, you can reply with words, such as ‘cancel’, ‘end’, ‘quit’, ‘unsubscribe’, ‘stop’, or ‘stop all’ and you will no longer receive messages. Please note that unsubscribing will not remove your information from Branca USA systems.
If you wish to re-subscribe, reply with words, such as ‘start’, ‘yes’, or ‘unstop’.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Service, such as announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The Program may include recurring and nonrecurring text messages related to promotions, products, events, cart reminders, special offers or other Branca USA news, as well as other information that we think will be of interest to you. Message frequency will vary. Branca USA reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time, so as to increase or decrease the total number of sent messages. Branca USA also reserves the right to change the short code or phone number from which messages are sent. Consent to receive automated text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
- Not all mobile devices or handsets may be supported and our messages may not be deliverable in all areas. Branca USA, its service providers and the mobile carriers supported by the Program are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SECURITY
Branca USA strives to ensure reasonable security measures are in place, including physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your personal information. Still, we cannot guarantee that hackers or unauthorized personnel will not gain access to your Personal Information despite our efforts. You should note that in using the Service, your information will travel through third party infrastructures which are not under our control (such as a third-party SMS delivery platform or your carrier network).
